For salons

Both hands in someone's hair. The phone keeps buzzing.

You can't answer mid-colour, and by the time you wash your hands the message is an hour old. SmashOne answers while you work — in your words, from your price list.

What a gap costs

An empty chair at 2pm doesn't come back.

1
chair

You can only be in one place. The slot is the product.

3–4
hours a week

A typical week's worth of gaps from no-shows and last-minute cancellations.

~40%
arrive after close — in this trade

In salons a good share of asking happens in the evening — when you're least able to answer it.

The assistant answers the ones that arrive at nine, so the 2pm gets filled by someone who asked at nine.

Assistant on
hi! do you have anything saturday for a cut and colour?
Client · 9:12pm
We do — Saturday 2:30pm is open with Dana, about two and a half hours for a cut and full colour, $185. Want me to hold it?
AIAssistant · 9:12pm
yes please 🙏
Client · 9:13pm
Held for Saturday 2:30. Dana will confirm in the morning — she's with a client until seven tonight.

While you work

It knows what you charge and how long it takes.

Cut, colour, balayage, a full head of foils — each with your price and your timing. The assistant answers from that list and never guesses. It holds the slot and asks you to confirm; it does not put anyone in your book on its own.

The loop

Most of your money is the client who comes back.

Week 0
She's in the chair

You book the next one while she's still sitting there — when it works, this is the whole game.

Week 3
She hasn't rebooked

It happens. Life gets busy and the appointment never gets made.

Week 5
The roots show

Now she's deciding, and whoever answers first gets the booking.

Any evening
She messages you

And the assistant answers at nine instead of at seven tomorrow morning.

You still decide who goes in the book. The assistant just makes sure the question doesn't sit unanswered overnight.

Answers mid-appointment

Facebook, Instagram and Telegram in one inbox, answered while your hands are busy.

Telegram and AI are live now. Facebook & Instagram activate after Meta’s app review.

Your services, your prices, your timings

Cut, colour, treatment — each with what you charge and how long you need. It quotes from this and nothing else.

Requests, not bookings

It holds a slot and passes it to you. Your book stays yours.

The gap gets posted

A cancellation at 2pm can go out as a quick post the same morning.

What it will not do.

It will not take a deposit, it will not put anyone into your book without you, and it will not pretend to be you. Every reply is marked as AI. If someone asks something it doesn't know — whether a colour will lift, whether you take their insurance — it says so and hands the question to you.

$99 a month. Nothing for fourteen days.

Setup is $0 when you do it yourself. The $199 setup fee only exists if you ask an automator to do it for you, and it is charged on day 15 with your first month.

Fill the 2pm.

Let the assistant answer the evening messages while you finish the day.
