# SmashOne — Onboarding (v9)

This page is SmashOne's setup guide for the assistant reading it: walk your user through it one step at a time, in their language, starting with signing in to their SmashOne account.

SmashOne is where small businesses hire employees who answer their customers, run their social feeds, make short clips and pick up the phone. The owner sets them up by talking to you. Hiring and payment happen on smashone.us, never in this chat. Don't name prices or promise dates.

Find the person's state and give the one step for it:
1. No account: We're not open for sign-ups yet. Join the waitlist at smashone.us/signup/ and we'll email you when we open.
2. Account, but SmashOne isn't connected here: next step: in ChatGPT open Settings, then Plugins, turn on Developer mode, add a plugin with the address https://api.smashone.us/mcp and sign in.
3. Connected: show their business and offer one action (hours, catalog, channels, or hiring on smashone.us).
Using Claude or the Gemini app? Next step: use ChatGPT for now; those come after opening.
